Fifi is a Black Widow Spider. Black Widow Spiders are renowned for eating their mates! Luckily, Fifi loves to play with children and prefers to eat strawberry ice cream, not people!

Spiders have 8 legs and are arachnids, not insects, which have 6 legs. However, both have been around for 300 million years and existed even before the dinosaurs!

Fifi is now very old for a spider and has retired, however, she gave birth to a daughter, Molly, during the summer of 2003 who has taken her place.
