Anne Harris (A Biography)

When Anne made her first dinosaur, "Dino", little did she ever think he would be invited all over the world.

Anne's first inivitation was to Australia, for which she created "Spike", "Kimberely" and "Joey".

In the USA, Anne has been presented with the keys to the cities of Long Beach, Washington State and Ocean City, Maryland.

Kites On Ice, in Madison, Wisconsin is Anne's most unique (and coldest!) kiting experience to date. The Miami International Kite Festival, for which she created Allie is the hottest. This is a fundraising event for the charity Little Acorns. Anne contributed a "Joey" to an auction. He raised the most money of all the lots, over $1000!

Anne's most memorable kiting trip was to Columbia in South America, where, during three weeks in August, she visited ten cities. This was organised by YARIPA . YARIPA is a charity which aims to help street children, using kiting as the core of their work and philosophy.

To Anne's great delight, she has been invited to the Cape Town International Kite Festival four times. This event supports Cape Mental Health . Anne created Madiba, who features the South African flag on his wings, especially for this event.

Anne has a reputation for never doing anything on a small scale!
